Dear Sunset Ridge Families,

As we move into February, we continue our strong focus on student achievement and the important role that partnership between school and home plays in student success. This month marks an important milestone as we begin the second semester, a time filled with opportunities for continued learning, growth, and hard work.

At the beginning of the month, we look forward to connecting with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences. These conversations are a valuable time to celebrate progress, discuss goals, and plan together for a successful remainder of the school year. When families and teachers work together, students benefit in meaningful and lasting ways.

Everything we do at Sunset Ridge is grounded in our PAWS values—Positivity, Accountability, Wise Choices, and Safety. These values guide our expectations, support student achievement, and help build strong character. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by talking with your child about how they can use PAWS in their daily lives—at school, at home, and in the community.

We also kindly ask for your support in reinforcing dress code expectations and encouraging students to model positive, respectful language, especially as our older students set an example for peers and younger students. Your partnership helps us maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for all.

Estimadas familias de Sunset Ridge:

Al comenzar el mes de febrero, continuamos con nuestro fuerte enfoque en el logro estudiantil y en la importancia de la colaboración entre la escuela y el hogar para el éxito de los estudiantes. Este mes estará lleno de oportunidades para continuar con el aprendizaje, el crecimiento y el trabajo constante.

A principios del mes, esperamos con entusiasmo reunirnos con las familias durante las conferencias de padres y maestros. Estas conversaciones son una valiosa oportunidad para celebrar el progreso, hablar sobre metas y planificar juntos un resto del año escolar exitoso. Cuando las familias y los maestros trabajan en conjunto, los estudiantes se benefician de maneras significativas y duraderas.

Todo lo que hacemos en Sunset Ridge está basado en nuestros valores PAWS: Positividad, Responsabilidad, Decisiones Sabias y Seguridad. Estos valores guían nuestras expectativas, apoyan el logro académico y ayudan a desarrollar un carácter sólido. Animamos a las familias a continuar estas conversaciones en casa hablando con sus hijos sobre cómo pueden aplicar PAWS en su vida diaria—en la escuela, en el hogar y en la comunidad.

También les pedimos amablemente su apoyo para reforzar las expectativas del código de vestimenta y para animar a los estudiantes a modelar un lenguaje positivo y respetuoso, especialmente cuando nuestros estudiantes mayores sirven de ejemplo para sus compañeros y estudiantes más pequeños. Su colaboración nos ayuda a mantener un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro, respetuoso y enfocado para todos.
